Description: This is comprehensive and theory meets practice-oriented workshop. Microsoft security offering can be overwhelming from time to time. The number of products, services and offerings for different parts of cyber defence can be overwhelming. Some services even have multiple purposes and the security platform is combined from multiple pieces. In this workshop we go through the comprehensive Microsoft Cyber Security Reference architecture piece by piece to create a holistic understanding of the kind of possibilities there is in Microsoft security solutions.
Target audience: For customers who want to understand the big picture of the Microsoft security stack and capabilities, and how it affects the security landscape. Description: We quite often see that companies have bought extensive amounts of different types of solutions to secure their environments and end-user computing platforms. Unfortunately, often these solutions or licenses are not fully utilized or there is a need for improvement in many areas to get everything out from the investment and to ensure the environments are secured. After this workshop, attendees are able to understand what they should focus on next, and they are able to point out if anything important is missing from the environment. Additionally, attendees gets high-level roadmap for next activities to perform.
Target audience: For customers who have already deployed Microsoft security products, and want to go deeper in to the products and make sure the services are in proper use and are properly monitored. Also ideal for customers who have already completed the Defender services + Sentinel workshop – Planning & deployment design.
Technical depth: Intermediate to Expert. Deep dives to several services, architecture models and deployment approaches.
Benefits: After the workshop attendees able to move forward with Microsoft cloud security by having ready steps for the next steps to take. Additionally, attendees are able to continue the deployment and operational management of Microsoft Defender services and Microsoft Sentinel.

Microsoft Cloud Security: Security Product Pilot Workshop
FULL DAY EVENT
Solution area: Microsoft 365 and Azure
Description: This is a hands-on workshop, focusing heavily on designated areas with the customer. The aim is to achieve practical results within a specified Microsoft security technology area.
This workshop can include, as an example any of the following, or combination of multiple topics:
- Any Microsoft Defender solution (and really, all of them. from Defender for Cloud to Defender Antivirus)
- Microsoft Sentinel
- Azure Arc
- Azure Policy
- Passwordless
- Conditional access
- From hybrid identities to Azure AD-based identities
Target audience: For customers who seek an accelerated approach to implementing any Microsoft security solution into a pilot deployment together with experts. For learning the best practices and possible pitfalls during a pilot deployment.
Technical depth: Basic to Expert, depending on exact content and topics.
Key benefits: After the workshop, attendees have a service (or services) based on best practices, that work in a pilot environment. These same learnings can easily then be adapted to a production environment. During the deployment customer’s experts have a chance to learn and familiarize with the product with the support and help of Not Bad Security experts. Additionally the workshop is a viable option to avoid time-consuming pre-sales activities when trying to find a suitable partner to deploy the production environment – based on this workshop a tender can be more easily be specified for possible future consulting partners.
This workshop has a simple fixed pricing, and requires no time-consuming activities before workshop, such as agreeing scope or price. If required, the same Not Bad Security expert can assist in other workshops linked together to form unified solutions.
Agenda: Workshop consists of two parts:
Workshop 1: To prepare the service for deployment
- Introduction to the service
- Real-world cases where the service has been deployed
- Installing or onboarding the service for limited number of devices
Workshop 2: Verify results and plan for the wider deployment
- Verifying the results of the pilot
- Planning the deployment to production
Between workshops: Architect-level support if issues are occurring with the pilot group.
Pre-requisites: To ensure a smooth and successful result through these workshops, the following technical pre-requisites are necessary:
- A working Azure Active Directory environment
- Global Admin access to Azure Active Directory environment
- A non-trial Azure Subscription (if needed to deploy Azure-specific services such as Microsoft Sentinel)
Outcome: Product piloted with production-ready configuration and technical deployment plan for production deployment exists
